Cataracts

A cataract is a clouding of the normally clear lens of the eye.

It is one of leading preventable causes of blindness and visual impairment worldwide. Cataracts typically occur gradually as a normal part of the aging process. They can also occur as a result of other eye conditions, use of certain medications and other medical conditions such as diabetes. The only treatment for cataracts is cataract surgery.
